This
information will assist new and present patients to learn about the Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) counseling services for veterans who served
in the military.
1. Where are you located?
-
I have locations in the Lansing, and Brighton, Michigan areas.
2. What are your hours?
-
8a.m. To 6p.m. Or other times that are convenient for the
client, by appointment.
-
Call for times and locations.
3. What payment methods do you accept?
-
We accept checks, cash and VA Fee Basis Cards.
-
Reports are released and mailed when payment is confirmed.
4. Will you file a claim with my insurance company, or is that my responsibility?
-
It is the responsibility of the patient to file with their
insurance company. The contract is between the patient and the insurance
company. We do supply the patient with an itemized statement with
a breakdown of all charges and procedure codes.
5. How are emergencies handled after hours? Is there another doctor
that sometimes takes call or covers for this doctor?
-
A message can be left with my answering service. They will
contact Dr. Tripi as necessary for emergencies. If Dr. Tripi is out
of town or in a meeting where she can not be reached, she will leave
a number for the doctor who is on call.
6. How confidential is my information?
-
We treat all information obtained in person or obtained over
the Internet with the highest confidentiality. Generally, after evaluations
are documented and complete, some information needs to be shared with
a Veterans Service's Officer (such as VVA, VFW, American Legion, DAV,
PVA, etc.). When or if information needs to be shared, it is only
done with your knowledge and prior written approval. This sharing
of information greatly increases your chances of receiving a service
connected disability.
7. Are you seeing new patients? How soon can I be seen?
-
We do accept new patients.
Sometimes new veteran clients can be seen or contacted by
phone the same day they call if they are having problems that is causing
difficulty due to PTSD. Dr. Tripi will make every effort to work with
the military veteran, gather information, try and make them comfortable
and schedule them for future meetings, phone calls and evaluations
as deemed necessary.
If the veteran wants to make an appointment just for a new
client evaluation, they can generally be seen in one or two weeks.
8. How can you help me over the Internet if I'm not in your area?
-
First you need to take the PTSD
Self Test For Male Veterans or the PTSD
Self Test For Female Veterans.
-
Answer all the questions truthfully and to the best of your ability
then submit the answers to Dr. Tripi via the Internet form provided.
Dr. Tripi will review and evaluate your answers. She will contact
you initially by e-mail to let you know she has received your information.
Secondly, she will E-Mail information so you know how to contact her
by phone. That way you can call at your convenience and discuss the
possibility of being helped with your PTSD issues.
-
Please see the testimonials from a few veterans who have written to thank Dr. Tripi for her assistance.
